ID Verification

Identity verification helps ensure you know who you’re transacting with. Sellers can require buyers to verify their identity before entering an agreement, creating an added layer of transparency and accountability without slowing down legitimate deals.

Seller Control

Choose whether buyer verification is required before an agreement is created.

Real Accountability

Verified identity connects platform activity to real people, helping reduce non serious transactions.

Confident Transactions

Focus on the terms of the deal knowing there is greater clarity about who is on the other side.

The seller

Marcus D.

Grand Rapids, Michigan  ·  Reupholsters high-end furniture

I restore and reupholster older furniture, bringing worn chairs and sofas back to life and selling them for thousands of dollars.

Assuryn helps me screen out scammers by verifying buyers identities before negotiating. Payment plans backed by agreements help me sell more, hold my prices, and feel confident dealing with strangers.

The buyer

Ryan T.

Chattanooga, Tennessee  ·  Bought his first motorcycle

I wasn’t trying to lowball the seller. I just needed to spread out the payments to make it work.

Assuryn let us agree on his asking price with a down payment and automatic payments every two weeks. He had a signed agreement protecting him, and I rode home the same day without draining my savings.

Do I receive the full sale price upfront?

No. Assuryn does not pay you upfront or guarantee buyer payments. You decide the plan with your buyer: a single payment at signing, a down payment with installments, or structured installments over time. Whatever structure you choose, you receive payments directly from the buyer according to the agreed plan.

Is this like Affirm or Klarna?

No. Affirm and Klarna fund purchases on behalf of buyers at the point of sale. Assuryn does not fund anything. The seller finances the buyer directly, and Assuryn provides the contract, identity verification, and payment tracking that structures the deal.

What happens if my buyer stops paying?

You carry the nonpayment risk, not Assuryn. The signed sales agreement documents the buyer’s obligations and supports your claim if you need to pursue the balance. Depending on how your deal is structured, your options include disputing a missed payment through Assuryn, accelerating the remaining balance under the terms of the agreement, resolving directly with the buyer, or pursuing small claims, arbitration, or collections.

For the full breakdown of how the agreement protects you and what recourse looks like at each stage, see the Seller Protection Guide. [Button: Read the Seller Protection Guide]

What does the sales agreement do?

It puts the agreed price, payment schedule, and buyer’s obligations in writing. Together with identity verification and payment records, it supports your claim if you need to pursue unpaid amounts. The agreement provides a contractual backstop, not a guarantee of payment.

Offer a payment plan only when you’re comfortable with the buyer, the terms, and the possibility of missed payments.

What options do I have if a buyer does not pay?

Under the agreement described in the Seller Protection Guide, your options include:

Document the dispute: Open a platform dispute when a buyer marks payment as sent but it has not arrived within two business days.

Request the remaining balance: After two missed payments, or a payment more than seven days overdue, the agreement allows you to declare the remaining balance due by written notice.

Attempt direct resolution: The agreement calls for direct communication within seven days of a dispute notice before arbitration.

Pursue further recourse: Depending on the agreement and applicable law, options may include eligible small claims proceedings, AAA arbitration, collections, or temporary court relief to protect property.

Assuryn provides documentation and structure; it does not mediate or enforce repayment. Sellers pursue their own remedies. Legal and collection costs may apply, and recovery is not guaranteed.

FAQs

FAQs

Does Assuryn help me find a buyer?

No. Assuryn is not a marketplace. It helps you arrange payments after you and a buyer have already found each other.

How do I receive payment?

You have two options. You can connect a bank account during contract creation and receive payouts directly through Assuryn as each installment processes. Or you can choose to receive payments outside of Assuryn (cash, Venmo, Zelle, or any method you prefer with your buyer) and use Assuryn only for the agreement and tracking. If payments happen outside Assuryn, you record them in the platform to keep the balance accurate.

Can my buyer pay without interest?

Interest is optional and set by you. When you create the payment plan, you decide whether to charge interest and at what rate. Many sellers offer interest-free payment plans as part of the deal, while others add interest to compensate for the extended payment period. Either structure is supported.

Do I have to accept a buyer’s proposed terms?

You decide whether you’re willing to offer a payment plan. Agree only to terms you’re comfortable with.

When should I hand over the item?

After the buyer has inspected the item and both parties have signed the sales agreement. The recommended order is: buyer inspects the item in person, both parties review and agree to the terms, both parties sign the agreement, and the handover happens. Once signed, the sale is final and the item is considered sold "as-is".

What can I sell using Assuryn?

Assuryn works for most high-value private sales where you and the buyer meet in person. Common categories include vehicles, watches, jewelry, electronics, equipment, musical instruments, and furniture. All sales through Assuryn are treated as as-is: once the buyer inspects, agrees, and signs, the sale is final. For specific restrictions and prohibited items, see the sales agreement.
